On Feb 1, the China Cultural Center in Sydney participated in the Chatswood Year of the Snake Festival, bringing the festive spirit of the Lunar New Year to Australia.

Held on the bustling Victoria Avenue, the event featured cultural performances from diverse communities on the main stage, while a vibrant mix of unique food, traditional attire and promotional displays were showcased across 147 booths. The lively celebration created a multicultural and festive atmosphere in Chatswood.

The China Cultural Center's booth featured a captivating display of snake-themed cultural and creative products, with an adorable snake mascot attracting crowds eager to snap photos. To highlight the global recognition of Spring Festival, the center also showcased a roll-up banner celebrating the festival's inscription as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.

In addition, the center distributed a variety of cultural and travel brochures, with all 1,400 copies of its tourism magazines disappearing in just a few hours. Many attendees expressed a keen interest in learning more about China and planning future visits.

To further engage the crowd, the center hosted activities including membership sign-ups, lucky draws and trivia games, offering visitors a chance to win exclusive Chinese cultural souvenirs. Some lucky winners even won limited-edition snake mascots.

The event attracted an impressive crowd of around 20,000 attendees, making it a truly memorable celebration.
