CAAC in-flight Magazine recently released the 2024 Sky Choice Travel Awards in Beijing, recognizing organizations and brands that have excelled in the aviation, hotel and destination sectors over the past year.
The awards cover 20 categories and were given to 120 winners. Among international airports of the year are Auckland International Airport, Beijing Daxing International Airport and Hamad International Airport. Mumian Beijing Daxing International Airport, Hilton Garden Inn Beijing Daxing International Airport and Hilton Beijing Capital Airport are some of the airport hotels of the year. Destinations of the year include Dunhuang, Harbin and Wuhai.
In the past year, the domestic market of civil aviation remained strong and the international market recovered at a faster pace. As of Dec 15, more than 700 million passenger trips have been transported by Chinese airlines throughout 2024, with the daily average passenger transport volume exceeding 2 million, setting a new record in the history of China's civil aviation development.
For the future of the aviation and travel industries, it will be exceptionally important on how to innovate services, optimize marketing strategies, extend service chains and meet the expectations of consumers for air travel services in response to market changes, particularly changes in consumer behavior, according to the magazine.
It will also become particularly crucial to achieve "quality improvement" on the basis of "reasonable growth in quantity" under policy guidance.
The Sky Choice Travel Awards has been for four sessions. Each release of the awards has been covered by more than 150 media outlets and brands, across various platforms such as print media, Weibo, WeChat official accounts, websites and video platforms. According to the magazine, the awards have become an influential evaluation within the industry.
This year's awards have received 503 entries and they were judged through a combination of professional evaluation, third-party platforms' data and editorial evaluation.
