Visitors can enter Beijing Wtown for free by registering with their ID cards on Dec 31, the resort in northeastern Beijing's Miyun district recently announced.
The move aims to attract more visitors for celebrating New Year's Eve.
The water town has prepared a series of vibrant activities and performances designed to enrich the visitors' experience for the special day.
A package deal has been rolled out, enabling two adults and one child to spend the night at a hotel, ride the cable car to visit the Simatai Great Wall, and enjoy a New Year's Eve dinner.
Other activities like sunset farewell and dragon dance performances and visit to a hot spring have also been prepared.
As night falls, a drone show and a luminous dragon dance will take turns performing. At 11:57 pm on Dec 31, 400 drones will create a clock pattern in the sky, joining visitors in the countdown to midnight, welcoming the arrival of 2025.
Additionally, on the morning of Jan 1, visitors can watch the new year's opening ceremony performance or receive a gift bag of snacks.
