Dozens of paintings, oils, prints, watercolors and lacquer works are on show at the gallery of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles in Beijing, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland.
Titled Prosperous Macao, Picturesque Scenery, the exhibition is the work of artists from Macao and the mainland, some of whom were featured at the 14th National Exhibition of Fine Arts earlier the year. The national exhibition is considered one of the country's top art shows and is held every five years.
The pieces portray the natural and cultural landscapes of Macao and neighboring Guangdong province, as well as social progress.
The exhibition was first held at the Foundation Macao in November and also marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
