The Digital Culture and Tourism Committee of China Electronics Chamber of Commerce was established on Nov 28 in Beijing.
The platform aims to further meet the demands of the culture and tourism industry and business development, enhance the digital cultural tourism image and quality, clarify industry norms, formulate standards, gather experts, and boost industry exchange and learning, according to the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce.
More than 400 representatives from cultural and technology enterprises, cultural tourism investment groups, including China Unicom, Tencent, China Telecom and Baidu, attended the first council meeting of the committee on the same day.
They discussed new trends in the digital cultural tourism industry and explored the future prospects of integrating culture, tourism, and technology.
Participants concurred that the development of digital technology heralds broader opportunities and space for the cultural tourism industry. By continuously innovating and applying digital technologies, the cultural tourism sector can offer richer, more convenient, and personalized services, meet users' needs, and drive continuous growth and innovation in the industry.
