Exhibition showcasing British painter of light artworks opens in Shanghai

The latest collaboration between Shanghai's Museum of Art Pudong and the Tate in Britain, Dialogues with Turner: Evoking the Sublime, invites visitors to dive into the artistic world of one of the greatest British painters of the 19th century.

The exhibition, which features more than 100 artworks with approximately 80 original oil paintings and watercolors by Joseph Mallord William Turner (1775-1851), is being held from October 1, 2024 to May 10, 2025 at MAP in Pudong New Area, presenting a holistic picture of the artistic developments and changing painting styles during the various key periods of his career.
