Wu Yang, a show by the acrobatics troupe under Zhejiang Performing Arts Group, was staged in Beijing on Tuesday, as part of the fifth celebration of the art company.

The name of the show has come from the Chinese phrase, shan he wu yang, literally meaning "mountains and rivers remaining unchanged", which is about beautiful blessings and good wishes to the country.

Combining a diversity of art forms, such as acrobatics, magic, contemporary and classical Chinese dance forms, the show recounts the history of Zhejiang from the Neolithic Liangzhu culture to the Song Dynasty (960-1279).

Acrobats showcased solid skills and jaw-dropping moves, such as umbrella juggling and jujitsu.

The show was awarded during the 12th China National Acrobatics Showcase in August.
