Set on the Transformers' home planet Cybertron, this 104-minute story revisits their youth, depicting the transformation of Optimus Prime and Megatron from brother-like friends to bitter enemies, sparking the long-lasting war on Cybertron.
A premiere was held at the Universal Beijing Resort and China Film Cinema in Beijing on Tuesday.
The movie has grossed a total revenue of 25 million yuan ($3.56 million) from presale and sold tickets to top the country's box-office charts on Friday, according to the movie information platform Beacon.
