Floral displays adorn Beijing for National Day holiday

Photo taken on Sept 25, 2024 shows a 18-meter-tall display in the shape of a flower basket is placed at Tian'anmen Square in Beijing as a decoration for the upcoming National Day holiday. [Photo/Xinhua]

Other floral decorations, including over 20,000 flower boxes, have been installed across the city to celebrate the holiday that starts on Oct 1.

Adorning Tian'anmen Square and Chang'an Avenue is a prominent highlight of the annual National Day celebrations and a tradition that has been carried on for 40 years.
