Luxembourg exhibition showcases representative Chinese art form

Silk and Paper, Pure Heart - Contemporary Chinese Gongbi Painting Art Exhibition, organized by the China Academy of Art, is running at the China Cultural Center in Luxembourg through to Saturday.

Wang Yuan, Acting Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Luxembourg, Zhou Qingfu, President of the China Academy of Art, Wang Xiaohong, Director of the China Cultural Center in Luxembourg, Zhang Jian, Director of the Gongbi Painting Academy of the China Academy of Art and other guests from both countries attended the opening ceremony on Sept 20.

Gongbi painting is one of the most representative art forms in traditional Chinese artwork. After thousands of years of inheritance and development, it has a unique artistic style.

The exhibition brings together representative works from 22 contemporary Chinese gongbi artists, showcasing their reflections on the inheritance, exploration, development, and innovation of gongbi painting in a contemporary context, demonstrating the diverse trend of contemporary development in the field.
