Thirteen characteristic dishes from Pingtan county in Fujian province were served to delight taste buds in Beijing on Saturday.
They encompassed snacks, seafood, and desserts, and were made of carefully selected local ingredients and prepared traditionally, according to the organizers of the culture, tourism and gourmet food promotion event.
Hosted by the Fujian government office in Beijing, the event was intended as a showcase of all the island destination has to offer.
