The second edition of the "I Love Italian Coffee" master class took place on Tuesday in Beijing. The event invited 30 food and beverage professionals, and media figures, to explore the intricacies of Italian coffee.
The event, hosted by the Italian Trade Agency Beijing Office, delved deep into the history, culture, and regional roasting styles of Italian coffee led by an Italian coffee expert. Participants explored the characteristics of various coffee beans and enjoyed tastings of Italian-style blended coffees. The course also offered insights into the latest trends in Italian coffee culture, enriching participants' professional knowledge.
Francesco Pensabene, director of Italian Trade Agency Beijing Office and coordinator of ITA Office in China and Mongolia, said that Italian espresso is an excellent representative of Italian craftsmanship and a symbol of culture, closely tied to its rituals, social aspects, sustainability, and history.
"It's one of the finest expressions of Italian lifestyle and has provided increasing business opportunities for Italian companies in the Chinese market," he said.
