The Chinese Culture Festival opened recently at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The two-week art exhibition, which is co-organized by Tiangong University in Tianjin, runs through March 27.

At the invitation of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Tiangong University's International Innovation Center of Chinese Traditional Culture and Artistry Inheritance organized a showcase of its distinguished national- and provincial-level intangible cultural heritage.

The showcase includes the Zheng Yong Studio, Tianjin's intangible cultural heritage "Three Treasures" (Niren Zhang's clay figurines, Wei's kites and Yangliuqing New Year paintings), Hezhen's traditional Chinese medicine fragrances, Guanzhaoxuan's painted ceramics, gourd instruments, and Zhang's musical instruments.

Tianjin's inheritors of the intangible culture arrived in Hong Kong to present their skills and arts.

To promote a deeper understanding of Tianjin and Tiangong University, the center under Tiangong University will conduct five workshops covering traditional Chinese arts and crafts such as lacquer art, traditional Chinese medicine fragrance production, Yangliuqing woodblock New Year painting, kite design, and flying experiences.
