Crime thriller 'Wolf Hiding' hits 200 million yuan in box office

The crime thriller Wolf Hiding is making waves in China, raking in over 200 million yuan ($28 million) within 12 days after its release.

Praised for its stellar cast and thrilling action, the film marks director Ma Yuke's debut and features stars including award-winning actor Nick Cheung Ka-fai, Ethan Juan and Darren Wang.

Presented by iQIYI Pictures, Wolf Hiding is a tale of revenge within the overseas criminal industry chain, led by Nick Cheung Ka-fai's character, Chen An. Multiple forces swirl and confront one another, creating a suspenseful atmosphere around the fate of the characters.

Director Ma shared on China's Twitter-like Weibo that the film's theme revolves around redemption and justice. "The protagonists, who had been hurt, underwent a process of inner strength, seeking justice for their sisters, lovers and the victims, while redeeming their past selves."
