Chinese lanterns illuminate 'Lanternia' festival in Cassino, Italy

Cassino, Italy, has become a vibrant canvas of mesmerizing lights and captivating displays as the international "Lanternia" festival opened at the Fairy Tale Forest theme park on Dec 8.

Spanning across 110,000 square meters, "Lanternia" features more than 300 giant lanterns, illuminated by more than 2.5 km of LED lights.

The festival contains six thematic areas: the Kingdom of Christmas, the Animal Kingdom, Fairy Tales from the World, Dreamland, Fantasyland and Colorland. Visitors are treated to a wide array of lanterns varying in sizes, shapes and colors. Ranging from giant lanterns towering nearly 20 meters high to a castle built with lights, these displays offer visitors an immersive journey into the world of Alice in Wonderland, The Jungle Book and the forest of giant plants.
