Lv Lv, deputy mayor of Xinyang Municipal People's Government, He Yue, minister counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Spain, Yang Changqing, director of the China Cultural Center in Madrid, Huang Haiguo, director of the Asia Pacific Department of the World Tourism Organization, and six staff members from the Technical Cooperation Department, the European Department, and the Sustainable Development Department of the World Tourism Organization attended the event along with about 50 officials and representatives.
Huang said in 2019, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution to designate May 21st as the "International Tea Day", and in 2022, traditional Chinese tea-making techniques and related customs will be included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List .
