This year marks the 60th anniversary since China's first medical team was sent to Algeria in 1963. So far, China has sent about 30,000 medical personnel to 76 countries and regions in Africa, the Americas, Europe, Oceania and other parts of Asia, providing medical services to 290 million people, according to official data.
At present, Chinese medical teams are working in 56 countries and regions, nearly half of which are in less-developed areas.
