2022年1月1日,广东省深圳市光明区光明街道农科大观园特别推出喜迎虎年游园活动,醒狮表演栩栩如生,活灵活现,赢得市民阵阵掌声!广东醒狮被认为是驱邪避害的吉祥瑞物,每逢节庆,必有醒狮助兴,长盛不衰,历代相传。醒狮原名为瑞狮,意为吉祥如意,直到鸦片战争的战火蔓延到南方,因为“瑞”字方言谐音“睡”,具有民族忧患感的佛山人便将其改为“醒狮”,寓意醒狮醒国魂,击鼓振精神。广东醒狮已成为全国知名的为广东特有的民间舞品牌。醒狮活动也广泛流传于海外华人社区,成为海外同胞认祖归宗的文化桥梁,其文化价值和意义十分深远。[摄影:陈飞]
