The "Face to Face, Pasta to Pasta", an event under the 2022 China-Italy Year of Culture and Tourism, concludes at the Confucius Temple in Nanjing on Saturday.
Audiences watched the video review of the whole event and chefs from China and Italy showed off their noodle-making skills at the site.
The event is holding a "China-Italy Pasta Challenge" online, which invites chefs, food bloggers and food lovers to share their noodle and pasta making skills and related stories.
Apart from that, online talk shows centering on chefs, as well as culture and enterprise delegates from China and Italy will broadcast on social media platforms, turning "pasta to pasta" to "face to face" communications, as a conclusion of the event.
Zheng Hao, deputy director of the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation at China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, said at the closing ceremony that, cultural exchange has been always an important bond promoting people-to-people ties and friendship between China and Italy. With popular food serving as a bridge, the "Face to Face, Pasta to Pasta" event has contributed to the understanding and communication of the two countries.
The event was sponsored by the China International Culture Association, and hosted by the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation at China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism along with People.cn.
