An award ceremony for the online cultural activity Junior Cultural Ambassadors, which called on youths from all over the world to express their wishes for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics in videos, was held on Wednesday.

The activity, held by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, received entries from 209 young participants from 32 countries including Spain, Sri Lanka and Malta since its initiation in June, 2021. The entries, in which participants shared their encounters with traditional Chinese culture and showed their support for the 2022 Winter Olympics, are being showcased online.

Zhang Xu, deputy minister of culture and tourism, says that the activity has set up a platform for youngsters from home and abroad to conduct exchanges and learn from each other. The entries show their passion for winter sports and their understandings of the Olympic spirit.

"They expressed the eagerness from the bottom of their hearts, that is 'Together for a shared future'," said Zhang.

Li Bin, chairman of the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, presented award winners certificates and dolls of the mascot for the Beijing Winter Olympics, Bing Dwen Dwen. Li encouraged them to make contributions in promoting cultural exchanges and mutual learning in the future.
