The activity list of this year's international culture festival, held by the school of journalism and communication at Peking University, was released on April 8.
The annual event will gather students from India, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, China and other countries to stage fashion shows, where they can display the traditional garments of their homelands. A salon will also be held for students from various cultural backgrounds to share their life stories. Traditional delicacies of different countries will also be prepared for students to sample. There will also be narrators by the booths to introduce the cuisines.
Currently, nearly 30 percent of undergraduates in the school of journalism and communication are foreign students. The school aims to hone these foreign students' skills in telling stories of China, encourage them to actively conduct cultural exchanges and give them an international outlook via colorful activities.
