Godzilla vs Kong continues to lead China's box office

US film Godzilla vs Kong continued to dominate the Chinese mainland box office chart on Monday, according to data from the China Movie Data Information Network.

On the fourth day of its release, the new chapter in the cinematic MonsterVerse grossed more than 45.9 million yuan (about $6.99 million), or about 77 percent of the daily total.

Time-travel comedy Hi, Mom came in second, generating a revenue of 2.98 million yuan.

In third was re-released sci-fi blockbuster Avatar, with daily earnings of about 2.41 million yuan. The fourth-highest-grossing film Warrior of China raked in about 2.39 million yuan on Monday.
