The 25th Mois de la Francophonie will kick off on March 1, and run through the end of the month. With the theme of "to tell", a series of over 50 French events will take place in 20 cities around China, inviting people to tell their French stories, and also to listen and communicate with other people.
The events include exhibitions on women, workshops to learn to make signature desserts from French-speaking countries, recitals of poems in French, lectures to celebrate the 200th birthday of French poet Charles Baudelaire, shows of French-language movies, improvisational drama workshops and writing workshops. There are also countrywide competitions such as the 20th French Song Contest, a theatrical performance contest and a poetry translation contest.
