Late Russian landscape painter Valentine Mihaylovich Sidorov is known for capturing a variety of tranquil natural views in four seasons. His canvases also deliver a scholarly refinement which arose from his love and studies of Tang Dynasty (618-907) poetry.
Sidorov, who died of COVID-19 on Jan 9 at the age of 93, is remembered by audiences in Beijing as one of his paintings, Spring Descending on Hills, is on show at The Vitality of Art, an exhibition now on at the National Art Museum of China through March 14.
