China International Travel Mart 2018 kicked off on Nov 16 in Shanghai and will end on Nov 18, with exhibitors from 107 countries and regions from around the world. Of the 2,245 display booths, 69 percent represent domestic exhibitors and 31 percent those from overseas.
The event, co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Civil Aviation Administration of China and Shanghai municipal government, has evolved since its establishment in 1998 into one of the largest trade fairs in the Asia-Pacific region. It now serves as an essential platform for the tourism industry to seek cooperation at home and abroad.
Display booths from China include all-in-one tourism, red tourism and specialties from different destinations. The event includes dancing, singing and intangible cultural heritage performances, as well as interactive games for buyers and audience members to win prizes.
