The festival lasted for two days with activities including Chinese food, folk customs, folk art, calligraphy and painting art, martial arts, and artistic performances. Actors from Sichuan Research Institute of Chinese Folk Vocal Art Forms performed Sichuan Opera such as face changing, acrobatics, dance, folk music, rich in ethnic and local characteristics. The intangible cultural heritage heirs demonstrated their spectacular skills, winning huge applause.
In addition, traditional Chinese wedding customs, hanfu, Chinese calligraphy and painting were also showed at the festival, attracting many people in Toronto. All kinds of delicious Chinese food were served to visitors.
People said the festival provided them an opportunity to appreciate Chinese culture, and they were looking forward to it next year.
