Dragon Boat Festival brings summer excitement in Luxembourg

Paddles up, spirits high!

The Moselle River came alive with excitement on June 7 as thousands of spectators gathered in Remich for the fourth Luxembourg International Dragon Boat Festival. Teams powered across the water to the beat of drums, while cheering crowds turned the riverfront into a festival of energy and color.

The celebration extended well beyond the races. Chinese folk music, martial arts performances, international bands, and DJs kept the atmosphere buzzing throughout the day. Visitors also explored cultural exhibitions, hands-on experiences, tourism showcases, and a tempting mix of Asian and local cuisine.

Blending tradition, sport and cultural exchange, the festival offered a vibrant taste of the Dragon Boat Festival in the heart of Europe.
