During the event, Chinese and foreign guests toured the "Discover China Cultural Tour" exhibition, an exhibition on regional cultural and tourism resources, and a permanent exhibition at the Beijing Daxing International Airport.
Spanning the entire year of 2025, the program will traverse six provinces and autonomous regions—Yunnan, Jiangxi, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, and Jilin—offering diplomats immersive opportunities to experience Chinese culture and witness the vitality of modern China.
Anne Lafortune, the ambassador of Seychelles to China, expressed her intention to join this year's cultural tour, drawn to Inner Mongolia's renowned landscapes and cultural heritage. "I've always wanted to go and visit Inner Mongolia because I've heard so many good things about it," she said. Lafortune also shared standout travel memories: Zhangjiajie's mountain vistas via open-air lift in Hunan and a Xinjiang desert journey featuring camel rides and interactions with the local people.
Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, the "Discover China Cultural Tour" program has engaged over 400 diplomats from 103 countries since its inception in 2021.
