Modern art adds to historic southern city's cultural cachet

Over the course of four days, over 60,000 visitors, among them artists, curators, gallerists and collectors from all across the country, attended this year's Nanjing Art Fair International, soaking up the city's cultural vibes, and sharing their views on ways to refresh and rejuvenate the arts.

The fair was first launched in 2019 to raise the profile of the provincial capital of Jiangsu province on the contemporary art scene.
