A number of China Daily's special editions, including those on the Year of the Dragon and China's UNESCO World Heritage sites, were displayed along with a diverse array of creative cultural products at the "Reading China" themed exhibition in the 2024 Malta Book Festival between Nov 6-10, enchanting Maltese and international visitors alike.

This year marks the first time that Chinese publishers have participated in the Malta Book Festival, the Mediterranean country's largest celebration of book culture, which has been held annually since 1979.

Facilitated by the China Cultural Center in Malta, about 200 types of Chinese books, printed in Chinese and English translations, were exhibited, covering various categories, including Chinese language education, traditional culture, literature, tourism and children's books.

Annually, the festival boasts an attendance rate of about 50,000 visitors, with the participation of some 40 exhibitors offering extensive networking opportunities for industry professionals, according to its organizers.
