The varied versions of aesthetics that defined the material and spiritual lives of ancient Greek people from the Neolithic age to the end of Antiquity will be unveiled before audiences at the National Museum of China in Beijing.
The Countless Aspects of Beauty in Ancient Art will open to the public on Nov 6, bringing together some 280 potteries, bronzes, gold wares, glass objects, murals and sculptures from the collection of the National Archaeological Museum in Athens.
It will shed light on the inexhaustible sources of inspiration, out of a pursuit of beauty, that ancient Greeks used to express their changing emotions and mentalities.
