An outdoor concert by Xi'an Symphony Orchestra under the baton of conductor Zhang Guoyong was held on Sept 13 on the square near the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a historical Buddhist site in Xi'an built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
The annual outdoor concert, which has been held for 12 years, reached a new peak with tens of thousands of attendees this year. The event was also livestreamed, amassing a total viewership of 14.6 million.
The performance featured a blend of Chinese melodies and Western classics, resonating with the city and creating a harmonious echo of the times.
