Gallery Weekend announces Best Exhibition and Infinity awards for this year

Gallery Weekend Beijing, scheduled from May 24 to June 2 this year, serves as a platform for galleries to unveil new exhibitions, with many shows extending beyond the event's duration. In a new development, the event introduced the Infinity Award this year to spotlight endeavors that push the boundaries of creativity and exhibition presentation. The inaugural award was bestowed upon Spurs Gallery for its exhibition On My Mother's Lap, marking the China debut of Iranian artist Roksana Pirouzmand.

This year's event features the participation of nearly 40 art institutions, predominantly from Beijing and abroad, showcasing a diverse range of artworks and fostering cultural exchanges on both a local and international level. Gallery Weekend Beijing continues to play a pivotal role in promoting artistic excellence, nurturing creative exploration, and fostering dialogue within the contemporary art scene.
