Over the years, ink artist Li Xuesong has traveled around the world to gain firsthand experiences of the vigor of various plants. He has been touched by the tenacity and interdependence of these lives to survive in however harsh conditions of nature.
Back in his studio in Beijing, Li, a resident artist of Beijing Fine Art Academy, has been hailing their spirit with smooth delimitations and a blaze of colors.
Li's ongoing exhibition at the National Art Museum of China displays over 30 works in the flower-and-bird style of classical Chinese painting. It is through April 16.
