Of the many famed mountains that command enthralling views in China, Lushan Mountain, in Jiujiang of Jiangxi province, is one of great vitality and has cultivated rich cultures.
Last week, Lushan received a group of artists from home and abroad who carried on a five-day tour with curiosity of how much the reputed mountain could inspire art creation.
Supported by the Jiangxi provincial government and China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, the journey took these 36 artists, from some 30 countries and regions, to several popular spots of Lushan, such as Xianrendong (Immortal's Cavern), which motivated intellectuals and artists in ancient times to write, compose poems, paint, and cultivate Taoist teachings.
