Beijing is more than just a capital

Beijing is an ancient city with endless cultural heritages, a book-lovers' city with countless bookstores, a performing city that never takes a curtain call, and an innovative city with flourishing cultural and creative industries. It's the backbone of the Chinese nation, the root of the Chinese culture, as well as the lifeline of the Chinese people.

This year's Beijing Culture Forum, co-organized by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, the municipal Party committee, and the government of Beijing, will be held from Sept 14 to 15 in the capital.
