Director Zhang Yongxin: Authenticity key to drama production

"From my perspective, authenticity is the key element in producing a drama," said Zhang Yongxin, director of the TV series The Age of Awaking. "It implies genuine attitude, sincere performances, and representation of reality. If authenticity is lacking in a historical drama, all its logic falls apart."
