Exhibition honors artist's career

Transparent Shadows on Sapphire Sea, an exhibition marking the 70-year career of Luo Yi, artist and professor from Minzu University of China's Academy of Fine Arts, opened at the China National Academy of Painting in Beijing on Aug 25.

The exhibition presents a comprehensive collection of more than 150 artworks, including oil paintings, watercolors, traditional Chinese paintings and sketches, spanning from Luo's youth to middle and later years.

The exhibition includes three sections: the first presenting Luo's creations during his study in Prague, the second section highlighting his years as a teacher, and the third focusing on his creative output during his later years.
