Since last July, the awards have received 700 pieces of works from across the globe, including the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany. Wang Hao won the top award and Chen Yuchen, Deng Kun, Lu Zhengyuan and Teng Jiaqi were awarded Artists of the Year.
An exhibition focusing on works of these award-winning artists and those nominated artists opened to the public at the Art Museum of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute on March 24. It will last through April 15.
According to the awards juries, the works on display demonstrated young artists' focus, including their exploration of individual experience and emotion, their observation and thinking of the society, and their efforts on broadening the definition of sculpture.
Wuliangye Group, a Chinese liquor brand in Yibin, Sichuan province, has cooperated with the art award since 2019 to fund young artists and support their innovation in sculpture.
