Public art show celebrates Shenzhen's vibrancy through the decades

Shenzhen in Guangdong province is one of the most booming cities in the country not only in the sense of economic development but also as a synonym for vigor, openness and harmonious co-existence between men and nature which is why it keeps attracting youngsters from across the country to work and settle down.

Art Meet the Central Axis, an outdoor art show in the city's Central Axis gallery and Festival Avenue, in Futian district, addresses Shenzhen's consistent vibrancy that has leveraged it to become one of the fastest developed and most open cities. It also showcases the city's efforts over recent years to evolve into a city thriving in art and culture.

On show are sculptures and commissioned installations by artists nationwide which are on display through Feb 12.
