Shandong culture highlighted at Serbia's Spring Festival celebration

The first leg of the 2023 Serbia “Happy Spring Festival”, which celebrated Shandong culture, was held at Kalemegdan Castle in Belgrade, capital of Serbia on Jan 18.

Shandong’s intangible cultural heritage was presented during the celebration, including lion dances, cuju (an ancient Chinese football game), silhouette art, and new year woodblock prints. Hands-on activities engaged the participants and onlookers, and later the night was lit up by fireworks.

Shandong province has gained prominence for its culture and tourist resources overseas. The event will be held in four other cities in Serbia in the days to come.
