Located along the southern part of the Beijing Central Axis, the venue has become a popular destination for tourists. Beijing Central Axis refers to a 7.8-kilometer-long north-south line down through the center of the historical neighborhood of Beijing. Many key historical sites from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) are located along the central axis, such as the Temple of Heaven, which is located nearby the Tianqiao Performing Arts Center. The Beijing Central Axis is to seek UNESCO World Heritage status at the World Heritage Committee in 2024.
Performances and exhibitions were held at Tianqiao Performing Arts Center in Beijing to mark the venue's seventh birthday.
