China Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Xia Xiaotang, performed the classic Chinese song Sing a Folk Song to the Party, marking the 101st anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
20 Chinese violinists played the song together, including Lyu Siqing, Chen Xi and Huang Mengla.
The song was first released in 1963 and was written by Zhu Jian'er and Jiao Ping. It has become popular among Chinese audiences with various versions performed by singers such as Tibetan folk singer Tsedan Drolma and pop singer Han Hong.
