Then with a strong and firm drum beat, 13 sets of timpani were arranged in a circle on the surface of a "giant dial plate". The number 13 signifies the journey of the 13th Paralympic Winter Games and the surrounding drummers represent scales of the hour hands.

A total of 60 dancers in the inner ring of the "dial plate" moved imitating as second hands. The sonorous and powerful drum beats sounded like strong pause, representing the spirit of all strong-willed physically challenged individuals.
