Chinese percussion instruments provide rich rhythms. In previous tutorials, we introduced small and large Chinese cymbals. In this session, let's get to know the huskier-toned shui cha (water cymbals) that are often used to play beats for yangge (a form of Chinese folk dance popular in northern China).
Make sure to watch through the end for a cute performance intimating a flock of ducks by percussionist Tong Shengyuan!
