To celebrate the centennial of the founding of the Communist Party of China, Yue Yunsheng, 73, an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage for clay sculptures from Lanzhou, Gansu province, finished 100 figurines of the Red Army within two months to display in his museum.
Through a complex series of processes — kneading, rubbing, scraping and carving —various figures have emerged, vividly and exquisitely.
