Beijing exhibition examines new developments in painting

Supported by the China National Arts Fund, Round and Develop provides a panoramic view of the development in the medium, style and aesthetics of painting.

The exhibition, running at the Art Museum of Central Academy of Fine Arts until April 30, shows 100 paintings that reflect the evolution of artists working with mixed media over the past three decades.

The exhibition at CAFA's gallery is the sixth and final leg of its tour, which started in Changchun, Jilin province in June 2019, then moved to Shanghai, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Guangdong province, and Xi'an, Shaanxi province.

The exhibition shows how art academies have been rooted in the soil of home culture while embracing international trends in the curriculum of painting.
