Exploring an unknown world is a shared mission by visual artists and scientists. It has become more common these days for artists to work with scientists or take advantage of new technologies to renew their work and push the boundaries of art.
Zheng Da, a media artist based in Wuhan, Hubei province, has made out a niche in the field for his installations, which use relatively unsophisticated technologies while engaging viewers on the current situation of humankind.
Zheng's solo exhibition now at the Today Art Museum, Beijing, Unknown Unknowns, presents several major works since 2016, inspiring people to think over the relationship between humans and technology.
