Friendship Award winner passes away in New York

Donald Stone, a guest professor of the Department of English at Peking University and winner of the Chinese Government Friendship Award, died in New York on Jan 21. He was 79.

Stone taught at PKU during its fall semester every year after he retired from the English department of Queens College of the City University of New York in 2006.
