Musical on delivery couriers opens in Beijing

The musical On the Road premiered in Beijing on Dec 24 at the Tianqiao Performing Arts Center, showing changes in China's express delivery industry over two decades.

Produced by the Beijing Performance and Arts Group, the musical has completed its four-day performance cycle in Beijing and will tour to Shanghai and Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, early next year.

Courier representative Yang Jingshan was gifted a ticket with signatures from the cast and gave his review after attending the premiere.

"I really didn't imagine through artists' creations, our courier uniforms could shine so brightly. They lent an aura to us couriers, and I really hope people will love this production and sing the songs," Yang said.
